Setting Up Adobe Sign

Connect Adobe Sign to send contracts for electronic signature directly from DealView.

Adobe Sign integration enables electronic signatures directly from DealView. Send contracts for signature and track signing status.

Prerequisites

Before connecting Adobe Sign:

  • Adobe Sign account (Business or Enterprise plan)
  • Admin access to your Adobe Sign account
  • Admin access to your DealView workspace
Adobe Sign Plans

Adobe Sign integration requires a Business or Enterprise plan with API access. Contact Adobe to confirm your plan includes integration capabilities.

Connecting Adobe Sign

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations
  2. Find Adobe Sign in the E-Signature section
  3. Click Connect
  4. Sign in to your Adobe account
  5. Authorize DealView access
  6. Connection confirmed

Permissions Requested

DealView requests these Adobe Sign permissions:

Sending for Signature

Once connected:

  1. Open a contract or finalized draft
  2. Click Send for Signature
  3. Select Adobe Sign as provider
  4. Add recipients:
    • Name and email
    • Role (Signer, Approver, CC)
  5. Set signing order (if multiple signers)
  6. Add message (optional)
  7. Click Send

Recipient Roles

RoleDescription

Form FillerCan fill fields but not sign
CCReceives copy, no action required

Signing Order

Configure sequential or parallel signing:

  • Sequential - Signers receive in order (Signer 1, then Signer 2)
  • Parallel - All signers receive simultaneously

Tracking Status

Monitor signature progress:

  1. Open the contract
  2. View the Signatures section
  3. See status for each recipient:
    • Sent
    • Viewed
    • Signed
    • Declined
Real-Time Updates

DealView receives webhook notifications from Adobe Sign. Status updates appear automatically without refreshing.

After Signing

When all parties have signed:

  1. DealView is notified automatically
  2. Signed document is downloaded
  3. Contract is updated with signed version
  4. Signature audit trail is stored

Managing Agreements

From the contract page, you can:

  • Resend - Send reminder to pending signers
  • Void - Cancel the signature request
  • Download - Get the signed document

Disconnecting Adobe Sign

To remove the integration:

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations
  2. Find Adobe Sign
  3. Click Disconnect
  4. Confirm disconnection

Pending signature requests remain in Adobe Sign but won't update in DealView.

Troubleshooting

Connection fails?

  • Verify Adobe Sign plan includes API access
  • Check you have admin permissions
  • Try incognito mode to rule out cookie issues

Signatures not updating?

  • Webhooks may be delayed
  • Click refresh on the contract
  • Check Adobe Sign dashboard directly

Can't find Send for Signature?

  • Verify integration is connected
  • Check you have permission to send signatures
  • Ensure contract has an associated file
